Why do Aluminum Profiles Need to Be Surface Treated? What Are the Surface Treatment Methods?

The newly extruded aluminum profile, because the aluminum surface is easily oxidized by oxygen in the air, affects the service life and aesthetics. Therefore, we need to perform surface treatment on the newly extruded industrial aluminum profile.

Commonly used surface treatment methods for industrial aluminum profiles include anodic oxidation and electrophoresis, but, in addition to these two, there are several surface treatments for industrial aluminum profiles, which are unified for everyone:

1. Electroplating-Electroplating is also a very common surface treatment method, not only aluminum profiles but also various other metals can be electroplated. Electroplating is to plate a metal protective layer on the metal surface. Sometimes it needs to be polished and then electroplated.

2. Sandblasting-the industrial aluminum profile sandblasting process can not only get a matte effect but also the fine emery on the metal surface can eliminate the extrusion lines on the surface of the industrial aluminum profile. This is a way to kill two birds with one stone. The thickness of sand determines the effect of sandblasting.

3. Brush-similar to the car pattern, the wire drawing process makes the surface of the industrial aluminum profile form a smooth straight line, which is very beautiful and atmospheric.

4. Car pattern-use a lathe to process a regular pattern on the surface of the aluminum profile. The difference from the rubbing pattern is that the car pattern is a ring pattern, and the rubbing pattern is a straight pattern.

5. Polishing-Polishing can remove burrs on the surface of industrial aluminum profiles, and make the surface bright, which can achieve a mirror effect.
